Evaluation 4
The target audience for our film is generally teenagers and mostly males, who this film would appeal to as they could identify and empathise with the main character. We found that this was an audience that sci-fi films would appeal to and made our film around that. I wanted the film to appeal mostly to the group of teenagers which are not socially active, and prefer to be isolated at times, which is why the main character acts like he does. He is like me, but with a sense of purpose, a responsibility that some people have too. After the draft of the storyline was done, I created a questionnaire about it and asked others about their thoughts, and was told it was good, but I used some advice from the results form and altered the story to incorporate a friend/possible love interest: Samantha. From there I made the film showing the teenager as the good guy and the government as bad, which is the genarel idea that teens have, so this helps them identify. When the film is cut off after two minutes, there is not a lot of room for plot development, so I could not incorporate a lot of suggestions into the actual film, but may have if the film were to continue.
