//First idea

An introverted and isolated teenage male protagonist discovers he has a genetic mutation that allows him to use the full and undiscovered potential of the human brain. This gives him unnatural abilities that he regards as "super powers", but doesn't use them in such a way. He gets along fine in his normal college life with minimal use of his abilities, until a he discovers that a secret government agency are attempting to track down everyone with the mutation and exterminate them. Suddenly it seems that everyone is against him, and he goes on the run with no one to trust, and in a fight to save his own life and that of this new race of humanity, he attempts to expose the agency and lead a mass rebellion of super-humans.

//Second idea

The protagonist wakes up in a hospital, with no memory, and questions why he is there. He is told that no-one at the hospital knows any details of the incident, but an ambulance was anonymously called to his location. Once discharged, he realises that he has nowhere to go, no money and no name. While sat in a train station to think things over he is approached by a group of men in suits who tell him that their boss wants to see him. He goes to meet this man, hoping to learn more about his past, and is told that he was the second in command of a massive criminal organisation. About to accept this and return to his life, the police bust in and arrest the gang and boss, and congratulate him on a successful sting operation. He attempts to discover the truth in a world where everyone he meets tells him a different story about his past and not everyone is to be trusted.
